Franklin and Taylor | All Saints’: St. Augustine’s Chapel Wedding

Tennessee Editorial Wedding Photography

Where They Met

Taylor and Franklin met as seminary students at Sewanee, both studying to be ministers in the Episcopal Church, where they frequented St. Augustine’s Chapel. The calm and the quiet easily drew them in as a place to study together after lectures. Naturally, the historic chapel came to hold a special place in their hearts. Once Franklin and Taylor were engaged, there was no question as to the venue: the setting for their own wedding had to be the oldest chapel at the University of the South — predating All Saints’ Chapel — that originally brought them together.

How They Planned Their Chapel Wedding

With the knowledge that they would be moving in early August, the couple decided on a July wedding on Monteagle mountain. During our consultations, Franklin explained that he wanted to create a Provençal picnic theme after their wedding ceremony in All Saints’ Chapel. The wedding as a whole was conceptualized as a weekend-long gathering centered on togetherness, fellowship, and of course, love.

What Made Time Stand Still

Franklin and Taylor’s weekend-long itinerary left me and every other guest in awe of their intentionality, their love of the outdoors, and their planning skills. (Truly an immaculate timeline. But don’t panic — here’s a head-start on your own!) Every detail, touch, and meal was shared with thought and grace, which made the joining of these two all the sweeter as a perfect metaphor for their partnership.

Weekend Details:
